Beef in Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

  • 100 grams Rump, sirloin or fillet steak
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower or vegetable oil
  • 1 Green pepper, Seeded and thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • Plain rice, to serve

Method

1. Cut the steak into thin strips
2. Heat the oil in a frying pan or wok. When it is really hot, add the sliced meat and fry for 3 minutes, stirring all the time.
3. Add the sliced pepper and continue frying for 2 more minutes.
4. Turn the heat down and add the oyster sauce. Heat through gently for a further 5 minutes.
5. Serve with rice.

Notes

This is equally good with black bean sauce, which has a spicier flavour.
